She has also expanded her design efforts beyond women’s clothing, creating the Kay Unger Home collection for Bed, Bath & Beyond and Kay Unger Eyewear. She is an active member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). She is the CEO of The Kay Unger Family Foundation, which supports cancer care and research, along with providing scholarships for underprivileged youths talented in the arts. She is an active trustee of The New School and Chairwoman Emerita of the Board of Governors at Parsons School of Design, where she studied.
